Ms Karen Ordar
I got my first Basenji in 1986 and bred my first litter in 1988. I became a member of the Basenji Club of Victoria in 1987 and have been actively involved, first as a Club Member, then Treasurer, President, Vice President and the Club’s Historian.
I was very honoured to be made a Life member of the Club in 2017, for the work and dedication to the Club and our breed.
I have bred many champions over the years and exported some of my breeding overseas. My dogs have won major awards at All Breeds, Royals and Specialty level, plus taking out many in show and in group awards.
I am licensed to judge Group 4, Hounds and Group 1, Toys at championship show level.
I have judged Hounds in four states of Australia at All Breeds level and awarded Best In Show at two hound specialties plus a Basenji specialty in QLD. The biggest honour for me has been judging the Top 20 at the Basenji Club of America in 2024.
